Brampford Speke is an unspoilt, picturesque and atmospheric village with thatched cottages, listed buildings, high garden walls in its' conservation area and of course the wonderful walks along the River Exe - Exe Valley Way and Devonshire Heartland Way.

The Exe valley in Brampford Speke is designated as an area of special scientific interest and has a beauty and charm all its own. Take a walk along the banks of the slowly meandering river, keeping an eye out for kingfishers, egrets, sand martins, the elusive otters and even mink as you go.

For those with more energy, the river is popular with those who want to spend a few hours paddling, swimming and kayaking in the clean and clear water.

What could be better than completing your visit to the village with an hour or two leisurely spent at our lovely village pub!

All this within a 15 minute drive of Exeter city centre!
