HEART OF DEVON TOURISM PARTNERSHIP

Mo and Clive Walker and their team welcome you to their attractive Grade II listed Devon Inn dating back to the 18th Century, possibly with an earlier core, with oak beamed ceilings and slate floors, good food and real ales, a cobbled courtyard - where once the farrier and wheelwright plied his trade - and beautiful walled beer garden. Prior to its acquisition in 2007 the Inn was known as the Agricultural Inn.

It is situated in the beautiful, tranquil village of Brampford Speke with its thatched cottages just off the Exe Valley Way and the Devonshire Heartland Way, a few hundred yards from many glorious walks along the banks of the River Exe with its' kingfishers, swifts, swallows, sand martins, swans, geese, ducks, cormorants and much more wildlife.

Here good food - all prepared from scratch in our kitchen - from local and regional suppliers some dishes using our own vegetables, fruit and herbs in season from our holding plus our own lamb and mutton in Autumn - well kept real ales from Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset breweries plus wines from the Sharpham Partnership at Totnes and Camel Valley vineyard in Cornwall.

We offer a warm and friendly welcome and your enjoyment is paramount to us. Come and relax, enjoy the open fires (in winter) and the cosy ambience of our lovely village Inn and make it a special occasion by booking one of our newly opened rooms for a romantic, candlelit dinner, bed and breakfast break away!

Good award winning food, ales and wines in Devon...

Dogs welcome - on a lead in our beer garden or bar area - please let us know when booking so we can allocate a table for you in the bar. We regret that we do not allow dogs in our bedrooms.

We are now open all day on Saturdays (Apr-Sept) 11.30 - 11.00
